Most digital SLR owners at some point realize they need a remote control shutter release for long exposures or any work that requires the camera to be absolutely still. We've all seen images that have some blur due to camera movement or shake from an unsteady hand or tripod.

So what makes this remote control unique? The TMR Design Extendable Remote Control gives you the ability to operate your auto focus and shutter release from any distance by using readily available stereo mini headphone extension cords. The remote lets you fire the shutter and if you're using auto focus it will focus your lens when you press the remote shutter button half way down just as you would if you were operating your camera. This is great for self portraits or shooting birds and wildlife when you can't be at camera position without scaring the critters away. You can also lock the shutter for taking shots with long exposures.

These remote control switches don't require proprietary extension cables like the Nikon and Canon branded remotes.
